Interview with TWD Actor CJ Rhoades
CJ Rhoades is an american Actor. He is known
for his work in The Walking Dead
Thank you CJ for your spontaneous commitment for the Fans of
The-Entertainment-junkie.de
- How did you get your role in the AMC Series The Walking Dead as a Savior?
I happened to catch a casting notice at the right time and found out that it was to be a Savior on TWD after
I got there on set. They didn’t tell me what I was playing or anything about the part when I got the
response email, that’s how secretive the show is.
- Did you watch the show or read the graphic novel, prior to
your casting to The Walking Dead?
I started watching the show when it came out, I’m still trying to play catch up with the comics
- When you watched TWD the first time do you ever think that you will
be a part in this series some day?
When I saw it, I always wondered what it would be like to be on a show like that, I had never even been on a
set before when that happened. I never thought that I would be going onto 4 seasons on there though.
- Working with Andrew Lincoln or one of the Maincast Members will be
a dream for every
TWD Fan, what can you say about working with some of this guys?
Working with Andy and Norman and the entire cast is a treat in itself. It’s not just the main cast of “good
guys” or “bad guys” on that either. We’re all one big family that only tries to make a great show for
everyone to enjoy, and the jokes will fly when they need to, we rip on each other, make fun of each other,
laugh at/with each other, and have a great time together because we all know that we’re working together for
something more for all of you, and that’s just an amazing feeling. I really couldn’t have asked to be on a
better set.
- How much has the series The Walking Dead influenced your life? Can you
go outside unrecognized ?
When I started working on the show, I was a really heavy drinker. I realized that I had actually got myself
into a great thing and I didn’t want to lose it, so I stopped drinking so I could function better as an
actor. I get recognized every now and then. Being in Georgia where it’s filmed may have something to do with
that, nobody cares here. If I were anywhere else, I usually do a few autographs and pics a day. I really
enjoy taking that kind of time with the fans, it makes my day as much as it makes theirs, you all are the
real heroes here.
- Team Negan or Team Rick in reallife?
Team Negan all the way.
- What was the best thing or the funniest moment about working on The
Walking Dead?Is there something special you can share with us?
I had just been killed in episode 802, I turned my rifle in because walkers don’t carry AK-47s, and started
smoking. Completely was on set somewhere and there were crew members and other Saviors telling me not to be
smoking because Gimple was there, and Norman was sitting by me, also smoking. I just asked what they were
going to do if Gimple caught me. They said something about firing me and when I pointed out they couldn’t
because I was already dead, Norman started choking on his cigarette :-D
- Are you currently working on anything interesting Movie or Series
outside "The Walking Dead" that you can reveal? Or what you doing outside
the buisness?
I play a pilot in the upcoming feature Godzilla: King of the Monsters, set for release in 2019. Fellow
Savior Elizabeth Ludlow is also in it. I also play one of the monsters in the new Goosebumps, I believe that
gets released around Halloween this year.
- Is there anything else you would like to let The Walking Dead Fans and
your fans know?
On May 26, 2018, I will be a guest at the First Annual Senoia Summer Dead Bash, an event hosted by celebrity
artists Scott Spillman and Oscar Rodriguez III. On that day, as it’s my first celebrity event, I’ll be
making a contest announcement for a chance to win an amazing bit of show memorabilia. Make sure you are
following me on Twitter @CJ_Rhoades to be able to enter. Contest will be open to everyone in the world, no
exceptions. It will be free to enter, and the winners will also be getting a previously unreleased photo,
including autograph, with the prize. Make sure to follow @SenoiaDeadBash on Twitter as well for updates and
other guests information.
Thank you very much for your time and all the best for the future and
maybe see you someday in Germany.
Thank you for taking the time with me for this, I really appreciate it. I hope to make it to Germany quite
soon, let’s just say I’ve heard some rumors about some certain stuff and thangs 😉
Fingers crossed
