Ariel Shiu is an actress, known for her work as Jawa in The Mandalorian.

- Ariel, Were you a Star Wars fan before you got cast as Jawa ?

Absolutely I was born into a family loving Star Wars. When I was younger My Uncle started my collection of comic books and collectibles. 

 

 

 

 

I was so lucky to have been a fill in for

my mom Leilani Shiu she couldn’t make it

1 day of filming because she had to leave for a Janet Jackson tour.

- How did you get your role as Jawa in Chapter 9: The Marshal ?
I’m one of the few selected Jawas

as a regular

- Could you share some funny, remarkable, weird stories regarding the filming of your scenes?

 

Funniest Moments was stealing stuff

 from Mando scenes. 

Throwing stuff at Mando on our sand crawler. 

The eating the Egg scene was funny too. ️

 

- Your work together with your Mother , Leilani Shiu , as Jawa in The Mandalorian. How was it work together with your Mum as Captain Jawa ?

 

It was a blast I never have worked

with my mom it was an awesome experience 

also our childhood dream being apart 

of Star Wars. 

Captain Jawa episode was cool being 

in the ship.

We got to be with one of our close 

Jawa friends Niki Botelho.

- Was the Spot ,so far, the only one in the series or did you work in more episodes? Maybe as Jawa or other Character?

Yes I worked on a few episodes.

In every Jawa scene. I’m in.

Season 1 & 2.

- With a role in Star Wars comes a Big Fan Community, what are your first star wars fan experiences?

Looking back at working 

on Star Wars the Mandalorian 

My first fan experience was be honored to 

work with Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau.

Also gaining fans from our signings 

and meet & greets.

- Will we see you back in The Mandalorian in season three?Or maybe The Story of Boba Fett? (if you are allowed to talk about it)
