Interview with Bete Noire

-Thank you for your time for this interview and i hope you are healthy?

I'm very healthy thank you!

-How did you get into the business?

I think my story is the same as a lot of wrestlers. I was curious having always been a fan as a kid and one day I just did my research, found a school near where I stayed in Glasgow and decided to go along for a try. That was over 5 years ago now!

-What is your family thinking of your passion for the sport, are they worried about your health?

I think they accept it now but when I first started they didn't really get it. It's taken them awhile to really understand it. My Mum has always been supportive but I think she still worries that I'm going to really hurt myself one of these days.

-What is your favourite match or opponent from your career and why?

I have a few, it's hard to pick! I really enjoyed my match with Viper at ICW Tramspotting back in 2013. It felt like a turning point in what I was going for. Wrestling tsukasa fujimoto and Hikaru Shida at Ice Ribbon in Japan were massive highlights as I learned so much.

-Do you remember your first Pro Wrestling match and what was it like to wrestle in front of an live crowd for the first time?

It was amazing! I was so excited and nervous I could barely stand still. I was wrestling Nikki Storm, who I would go on to wrestle more in the future. I loved that match but when I watch it back I cringe at how new to it all I am!

-Who had the greatest influence/impact on your life as pro wrestler?

I'd like to say it was someone big and famous but to be honest, it's the good people that I was trained by like Damian O'Connor, Mikey Whiplash and Nikki Storm, and the people I trained with because they taught me, and still teach me, the fundamentals and the things that are really important.

It's not just about learning the actual wrestling part, which I believe the Source Wrestling School in Glasgow, does best in the country, it's the business side of things. How to conduct yourself and how to act. I didn't realise how important these things are until quite recently.

-Do you have a funny roadstory you like to share with us?

Ha! None that I'd share on the internet!

-Which country you would love to visit next and wrestle?

I'm planning a trip back to Japan next April for 9 weeks but last on the bucket list is really to wrestle in America. I'd love to visit the states.

-When a german Company calls, will you come over?

Absolutely. I'd love to wrestle in Germany!

-When a booker or company will book you where can they contact you?

You can contact me directly via facebook or you can email me at betenoiresmash@gmail.com

-At the last do you have any words for our readers?

Thank you so much for reading and all your support. I hope to wrestle at a company near you soon!
