Craig Patterson - The Walking Dead Interview

Thank you Craig Patterson for your spontaneous commitment for the Fans of The-Entertainment-junkie.de

- How did you get your role in the AMC Series The Walking Dead as a Savior?

--- I submitted to a casting call on Facebook. I had no clue that it was for The Walking Dead until I was contacted back by the casting company.

- Craig , did you watch the show or read the graphic novel, prior to

your casting to The Walking Dead?

--- Yes... I've been a fan of the show since the end of the first year it was out. I missed out on the first season when it was released because I didn't have cable tv at the time. I had heard about it from friends and knew that it was something that I would enjoy. When I got around to watching the first season, I binged watched it in 2 days. :)

- When you watched TWD the first time do you ever think that you will be a part in this series some day?

--- Did I think I would be? Absolutely not. Did I want to be? Yup. The whole reason that I got into doing acting/background work was to get on to The Walking Dead. As a huge fan, it was a driving force behind me stepping outside of my comfort zone and diving into something that I would have normally never attempted. I can thank The Walking Dead for that giant leap that has enriched my life and brought tons of excitement into it.

- Working with Andrew Lincoln, Jeffrey Dean Morgan or one of the Maincast Members will be

a dream for every

TWD Fan, what can you say about working with some of this guys?

--- Well... I got to work with JDM and Austin Amelio and Steven Ogg. The first day on set I worked with JDM and Austin Amelio. Austin was very quiet. Didn't say/do much in between takes. JDM on the other hand... He's the life of the party. Was always joking around on set, almost always still in character, and brought so much life into the shoot. He walked up to me and talked to me before filming began...

I can't remember his exact words to me, but it was something like "Shiiit, you are one tall mother fu#$er".

- How much has the series The Walking Dead influenced your life? Can you

go outside unrecognized ?

Yeah... It hasn't changed my every day life all that much, but my online life... Woah. 2000+ friend requests over the last year and 5-10 more coming in every day. I have had 2 people recognize me from the show.

- Team Negan or Team Rick in reallife?

--- Team Negan all the way. :) Love Rick, but come on... Who doesn't love Negans charm. :P

- Are you currently working on anything interesting Movie or Series

outside "The Walking Dead" that you can reveal?

--- Right now I'm writing two feature length movies. Can't discuss much about them until they are finished and copyrighted... but one is a Zombie movie like you have never seen before. For the people I have discussed it with, they all love the idea.  The other movie is a sci-fi thriller. Hopefully I'll have both finished within the next year. I started out working in films but I think my passion is making them, not starring in them. :P  I love writing and being creative.

I was also on a JC Penny commercial a few months ago with Shaq.  I may add modeling to my resume in the future. :P Stay tuned! :D

Oh... and I'm cosplaying Beta. :) Being 6'8" I thought it was the perfect opportunity to get into the cosplay scene. :)

- Is there anything else you would like to let The Walking Dead Fans and your fans know?

Don't let people squish your dreams. If you want to try something, don't let anyone stop you. There is nothing worse than regrets. Live life, explore your weaknesses, and exploit your talents.

Just don't give up.

Thanks!
