Daniela Tlumacova is an actress, known for Zombie Hood (2013) and as Resistance Transport Pilot Cova Nell in Star Wars - The Last Jedi (2017)



- Thank you Daniela Tlumacova for your time for the Star Wars Fans.

- In Star Wars The Last Jedi you playing Resistance Transport Pilot Cova Nell. How did you get cast for The Last Jedi and how did you get this specific role?

I was extra and I was already working on some scenes when I was picked one morning from around 200 people to be a pilot. I had no idea what was happening. They said that :: those cheekbones' asked me to come with the costume person and changed me to a pilot uniform. I only found out from a distance friend that I am an actual character in the book and then I saw some scenes in the movie and DVD. I found it quite funny at first.

- Were you a Star Wars fan before you got cast?

 I am fan of sci-fi since I was little so yes I was fan of Star Wars too.

- Could you share some funny, remarkable, weird stories regarding the filming of your scenes?

Well. This gentleman in a brown sweater walked into the cockpit and was like . :Hi. nice to meet you. I was like: Nice to meet you too. My name is Daniela.. I didn't know who it was at first. Only after the scene was filmed I realized it was Rian Johnson

- Daniela,Please finish the following sentence: “Looking back at working on Star Wars: The Last Jedi …” It was the most surreal , exciting and unforgetable experience of my life.


- You not only played in Star Wars, you also in Zombie Hood, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. What was your favorite role so far?

I enjoyed Zombie Hood because it was made by people who are Zombie fans and they all put their passion into it.However, Star Wars was the best role so far. I loved my costume and being able to sit in a space ship which actually moved on impact.

- When you not work as actress what are you doing?

I also did some voice over work, I am currently working on my PhD and working as freelance interpreter and translator

-Lets talk about future projects.Is there something you work on or you would love to work in?

I would love to be in other sci- fi films or other. However I am not represented by anyone at the moment as I am sort of out of the country for some time. However I am supposed to do voice over of another toy for the Fisher Price.

Enjoy going to the cinema. There is nothing better than sit down with a popcorn and have two hours of escapism in front of a big screen. I go to cinema by myself and love it. If you want to be in Star Wars then go for it even as an extra. It is always fun and a new experience.
