-Thank you for your spontaneous commitment. Can you introduce yourself please?
I'm Kayla Lynn and I was born and raised on Maui, Hawaii. I am Italian, Filipino, and Portuguese. I may be this small, peppy, fashionable girl but trust me I'm tougher than most of the guys I meet.
-How did you get into the Wrestling business ?
Well I use to wrestle in high school for 4 years then I coached for 3 years after that. And growing up in Maui there's not that much room for growth and I felt like I wasn't using my potential to the fullest. So whenever my dad and I had time (because he owns a restaurant and we were always busy working) we use to watch WWE together. And he always told me that he could picture me doing that. So one day I decided to try professional wrestling and I looked up wrestling schools and the WWA4 popped up first. So I did my research and went for a week to see if I liked it. And of course I ended up loving it!!! So a couple months later I moved to Atlanta and started my journey on becoming a professional wrestler.
-What is your family thinking of your passion for the sport, are they worried about your health?
My mom thinks it's amazing what I'm doing. She always loves watching my matches online and me sending her pictures. Sometimes she calls me laughing after watching one of my matches and she told me its because she would have never thought I would do something as crazy as this. My dad always tells me stories of how he brags about me to all of his customers and how they love watching my matches as well. Every time after I'm done with a match my parents immediately always ask if I'm alright or if I got hurt which I love because it shows me they care a lot about me and my safety.
- What can you say about your Coach and how long did it take, that it was clear for you to do the first match?
Well my original coach was Curtis Hughes. It took me about a good 6 months before he let me have my first match on the WWA4 school show. We had to go through a 5 minute match to see if we were ready to be in the show or not yet. So it took me 3 times to actually get his approval and I still remember how excited I was that my hard work was finally paying off!
- Can you still remember your very first Pro Wrestling match and what was it like to wrestle in front of an live crowd for the first time?
I still remember it. I went against Kiera Hogan at our WWA4 school show. I still remember I was super nervous because I was still putting my gimmick together and I wanted everything to good smoothly. I really thought I was going to forget somethings but Kiera and I worked really good match. Working in front of a crowd for the first time was sort of terrifying for me because I didn't know if they would like my wrestling style or my gimmick but now it's like the total opposite. I love coming out to my music and getting the crowd involved!!!
- Pro Wrestling has many legends, do you have any idols?
I really idolize Aj Lee because she's a smaller girl too but she's also in great shape and strong just like me.
- And where did you see yourself in 5 years from now?
Hopefully 5 years from now I will be on NXT or WWE.
- What goals do you still have, would a major contract be interesting for you or do you feel well in the Indy area?
My goals for this year will be trying to get to wrestle at Shimmer, Shine, or WSU. A major contract would be amazing!!! I would LOVE to just wrestle for a living and quit my day job.
- Every wrestler tries to gain international experience, to travel to many countries. Which country you would love to visit next and wrestle? And do you had the time to make some sightseeing in other Countrys?
Well being from Hawaii and living on a rock my entire life I would love to visit/wrestle in any and every country imaginable. I was just recently asked to wrestle in Mexico for a whole month, but I had to turn it down because my job wouldn't give me that time off.
-When a booker or company will book you where can they contact you?
They can contact me through my FB messenger (Kayla Lynn Giannotto) or my email dannygiannotto@yahoo.com
Thank you Kayla for your time and good luck for the future.
