-Thank you for your spontaneous commitment. Can you introduce yourself please?

I am Scarlet Lyd, and with the wrestling scene in Malaysia being still very green, I am proud that I am the first female pro wrestler in Malaysia, and I am trained at the Malaysia Pro Wrestling Developmental Centre

-How did you get into the Wrestling business ?
A very close friend of mine (AJ) made me watch Wrestlemania 31, I fell in love with it and was asking one of my journalist friend (Aryton Bernado Soliano) if there were any wrestling schools in Malaysia. He did a coverage on Malaysia Pro Wrestling (MyPW) development centre and showed me their Facebook page. Immediately, my coach messaged me on Facebook to go for the tryouts. Although after 5 months of hesitation because of my busy schedule, my coach was persistent enough to get me to go for the tryouts. So here I am today.

-What is your family thinking of your passion for the sport, are they worried about your health?

At first, I kept it hidden from my dad because he believes a lady has to be prim and proper. Eventually he accepted it and he's now proud of what I am doing. My mom on the other hand, supported me all the way through. She even came and support me for my debut!

- What can you say about your Coach and how long did it take, that it was clear for you to do the first match?
My coach has a very unorthodox method of coaching. Believe me or not, he got me ring ready within 4 months time. I started training in October 2015, and I was debuted at one of the MyPW shows in February 2016. He felt that I was ready, and debut me in a huge show -  and after that it made me fall in love into pro wrestling even more. I knew it was something I wanted to do. My coach treated each and every one of us like flowers. He planted the seeds and nurtured us, and he kept nurturing us until we blossomed more gracefully and beautifully. In a way, because of his encouragement, I am how I am today in the ring. He molded me from zero, to now being one of the most popular female wrestlers in South East Asia.

- Can you still remember your very first Pro Wrestling match and what was it like to wrestle in front of an live crowd for the first time?
My very first match was actually at a convention, but it didn't really count because it was more of a test by my coach to tryout to see how I can handle myself in front of a small crowd. My actual debut was in February 2016 at a MyPW show called Uprising. I had two of my close friends to accompany me to the ring, because I felt nervous and I thought that I couldn't have done it on my own. One of them as my manager and the other as my bodyguard. And in a way it helped me to be more confident and power through my debut match.

- You work for the MYPW Malaysia Pro Wrestling, what can you tell us about this Company?
MyPW is very family oriented. All of us are very close-knit. What I like the most with MyPW is that it focuses on local talents, and even regional talents. They'd give us a chance to pitch our characters, and they are very open to discussions creative wise.

- Pro Wrestling has many legends, do you have any idols?
I only found interest in wrestling recently, so my idols are current. - The Bella twins, AJ styles, Sasha Banks, Daniel Bryan

- And where did you see yourself in 5 years from now?
Wrestling in the indies all around the world, I hope. haha

- What goals do you still have, would a major contract be interesting for you or do you feel well in the Indy area?
make a name in the indies and to be booked more often

- Every wrestler tries to gain international experience, to travel to many countries. Which country you would love to visit next and wrestle? And do you had the time to make some sightseeing in other Countrys?

I've only been to Singapore and didn't really have the time for sightseeing. But definitely would love to visit Japan and the States!

-When a booker or company will book you where can they contact you?
ayez.shaukat.fonseka@gmail.com or facebook message me on my Facebook page.
